Evaluation

In the term i did a variety of different things in the lesson in photography such has:

• Tryptychs
• David Hockney 
• stop frame photography 

1. Still:

And many more also still life and in still life i had to get random objects such has rocks and things that dont move in place and sight and with my research i went into the studio for the day and laid out objects on the studio stand and used the lighting to give the objects better effects for my work and i also edited some of the photos in the studio.
I also have some work of still life work on my blogger and i took images of rocks and different things:

This is a image of example what i did for my still life work and also took images of natural outdoor objects for my work.

• Portrait photography :

These are some of the images that i did for my work in the portrait photography and the day i did this i got the studio for the afternoon at college and came in with some college mates and took images of each other and edited them on the studio computer well some of the images any way.

In the studio i try all different things such has lighting to give better effects on the photos and also in different photos i used a guitar for my mate so when he pretends to same it ,it looks like he is smashing it and the reflection from the guitar gives it a good effect.

Also in the studio i did a range of photos in different things like lighting ,effects and zooms.

 David Hockney :

This is my own work i did in david Hockney style and on the day i did it i went to the park in burton and took images of different things and with the photos and arranged them together and got a good image of the bridge in a selection of images.

Theses are some of the images i researched in for david Hockney and for his work i just researched images and looked at the different types of work he has done and what he has improved over the years and interviews with him on channel 4 news.

• Stop frame photography:

These images i took when i did the last stop frame work of the bridge and when i was there i took more images outside the college of the tree and the background and with the images a arranged them again and out them together to make a hole photo with a bunch of other different photos.

stop frame video photography:

This is the video i did when i went out to the park and fields in burton and took image of each other messing and playing around and every time we did step by step picture and took a shot every time we moved so the clips where similar rate has a video and at the end when i gathered all the images i put them together with final cut pro and made the video witch is on the blog now.

• Portrait photography :

These images where took when we used the studio one lesson and in the studio we did a single take portrait photography which was taking photos of each other and editing the effects of the images on the studio computer or the classroom computers with photo shop.
I also had the photo taken in a group has well to show what it looks like and to edit them on final cut pro but mostly the portrait photography was mostly taking images of each other and editing the back grounds.

• Portrait photographers:

irving penn:

These are some of the photographers that are in the portrait photography and in there work i talk about irving penn which is one of thousands of good artists   and on the day i had to collect images and talk about the effects that irving penn used in her or his work.

• steve pyke

This is another one of the photographers i researched about and in his work he used more lively black and white images and better effects with in the photo and he gets more effects with in the image it self instead of irving penn.

This is also researching more photographers for there work and experience in there world of cameras.

Tryptychs

 This is a screen shot of what i did when i edited my work and i screen shoted it i did records the editing and showed what i did to scale my images down so i can fit them together and make sure they come has a hole and they fit in the way i wanted them too.

These are the images i did on photoshop and i got the images of my class mates and his name is roger and a image of my self and i mixed and match in one of them were there is images of me and him in one image and put them together to make it better and to prove a point.

David hockneys work -compare with different styles...

 

This is david hockneys and in his work he has used a lot more cut outs of the images then me because in the lesson i started off with six and improved them like i edited my work on photoshop.

In my work i did the area of the park and my best work of david hockneys style is the bridge scene at the park and with the images i put them together so that they bring out a full image but the parts are separate but together in a certain way like back in to a full photo.

 This image on the left side of the page is good because david used lots more images in his scenes like at-least 60 images in this example of his work and he put all of his images together to make the images into a hole like in most of his work.

This image is another good pieces of his work because its just simples clips of a chair but when put together it makes the image better for the angles and direction of the photos like my other example i did the college grounds.

   The image above is one of my own pieces of work because for my work i went to the park and record images of the bridge and put them together in david hockneys style of his work.

I looked up on you tube and got some research on David Hockney and things about his work and in the interview he talks about the things he uses in the painting and his work and also how he started off and where he was born and so on .

The video clip also shows that channel 4 news his interviewing him on his work and his past also and asking him how he came to be so good in his work.

Stop frame photography scenes

This image i did when i went to the park with my camera which is a canon 5d and with the camera i went to the park and took the photos of the bridge and put them together to show what i am doing i took six different ones and made them into one hole photo.

This is some of my work that i have done for photography and in the lesson i had to go out and take images of area around burton but i have to take six of each area in different places and then i use photoshop to make them into hole images like a stop motion images but in one hole.

In the lesson i got to use a canon 600d to do the work that was provided and i used free hand photography instead of a tripod so i can move around more and do better images.

This is one of the videos i made for my stop frame photography when me and the rest of class went out of college and took some images for steve and my work and we had to take images of when people are moving in different spaces every time and then putting them all together to make a stop frame image video so i can show my work out.

Evaluation

This is one of the pieces of work i have done in the studio and in the studio i used the canon 5d mark 2 and the lighting provided with in the studio its self.


In the studio all we need to do was just images of different parts of the body such has the face and shoulders for the first set of images then there is the second set of images like the waist and then the last set of images which is the legs and feet to show the main parts of the body and mix over over people stuff and so on.

Still life photographers (Micheal Kay )

Micheal kay photography


This is just one of many photographers that do similar work to micheal kays and in his work he does still life which is taking an object of something and making look better then it is in a photo or has it is presented in front of the camera to show what an item is like or food and different objects.

These are a few of micheal kays work in still life photography in food like the bowl and the cup cakes shown above and in these photos it shows the life style this type of food holds such has the way its looks to fresh and well presented in the image.

In recent lessons:
In my lessons with steve i have done still life my self with shells and propsand with them i used the canon 5d mark 2 to do my work with and all i had to do was to place the lighting in certain positions to give the items better effects in the photo and i gave the shells a shadow like affect and focus on the presentation of them an how they where displayed similar to micheal kays work.
My own work:

This is one of the images of my own work i have took and this is what i did in my recent lessons with steve and showing how to use the lighting in the image and the shadow effect to make it look better in the photo its self and also in the image i have tryed to capture most of the detail of the shells them self.

Portrait photography (photo-shoot)

These are some of the photos that me and the other did for are portrait photography and the hole reason why we did this is to show that we can book the studio out and set anything up and do the same things by are self so we understand the equipment and how to use it .

Like in the recent lesson steve are teacher showed us how to operate stuff in the studio such has the setting on the camera and the lighting and other things.

These are some of the group photos we did on the day we booked the studio out and we did this to show what its like with natural shots and movements in a image but also the moods of us in the photos and the effects that bring the image out.

At the end of the day in the studio we edited a few of the images to make them look better but also test the with new things in the image to make them stand out more like the lighting in the image and other things like black and white but also other effects in the process.

still life photography :)

In my recent lessons with steve i did still life photography and in the lesson its were you take a certain object and you get the lighting i the studio we used to do different effects in the image such has shadowing g and other things to give effects on the object but also the image to make it look better.

Also in the lesson we used the canon 5d mark 2 to do the photos and the lighting in the studio and with the group i took a though photos a changed certain thing on the camera to make the image look better life the focus and the iso plus the lighting in the image but also the use of the settings in the camera.

This is a example of still life photography that i looked up on  the internet to show what i have aimed for with my work like i the example the complete dark background and the reflection off the floor giving it a better effects on the objects which is the rings it self.
